TOURNAMENT PLAY RULES
The maximum score a player can record on any hole is double par.
Players must hole the ball on all 18 holes, unless the double par max has been reached. There are no “gimmies" on the Lonestar Tour.
Players may take free relief from divots ONLY from the fairway. Players must consult within their group before determining whether free relief is warranted.
Penalties
Lost ball - Players must take a 1 stroke penalty and drop in the general vicinity of where the ball was assumed to be lost.
Out of Bounds - If found, the ball may be played without penalty as long as it lies on course property. If the ball is not found or is off course property, players must take a 1 stroke penalty and drop adjacent to where the ball was determined to cross the out of bounds line.
Water - Players must take a 1 stroke penalty and drop approximately where the ball crossed over into the water unless a drop zone is provided.
Unplayable - If a ball is unplayable, players must take a 1 stroke penalty and drop no closer to the hole.
Late Tee Time - Players will receive a 2 stroke penalty for showing up late to their tee time and will receive an 8 for each hole missed.
Players must consult playing partners for all rulings.
Refer to the USGA rulebook for any rules not covered in this section.
